Clearwater Lake

Clearwater Lake is a popular recreational lake located in southeastern Missouri, in the Ozark Mountains. It covers 1,630 acres and has over 45 miles of shoreline. The lake is fed by the Black River and was created in 1948 by the damming of the river. The lake is a popular destination for fishing, boating, swimming, and hiking. It is known for its clear water and scenic surroundings. The lake is home to a variety of fish species, including bass, catfish, and sunfish. Clearwater Lake State Park is located on the southeast side of the lake and offers campgrounds, picnic areas, trails, and boat ramps. There are also several marinas and resorts in the area that offer boat rentals and other amenities. The lake is located near several small towns, including Piedmont, Greenville, and Williamsville. It is about a 2.5-hour drive from St. Louis and a 3-hour drive from Memphis.
